MARKETING RESEARCHER OR ANALYST

One fine day i got a call from somebody asking me am i a MARKET RESEARCHER OR MARKETING ANALYST?
I had a very easy answer to this was i am a MARKET RESEARCHER radar than an ANALYST because i am not bound  only to one sector/ service/ product to analyse some group of people or an individual which had hard worked on his/her project but at the same time i can analyse my work /service & compare it with other`s projects also.

            Their are so many Fields/area`s of Marketing to research with different angles/views,so why only be an analyst?

Their are fields like: AUTO,BANKING,CUSTOMER CARE, DETECTIVES,FM CG, FINANCE, ETC.so many to explore/research on & research is going on by companies, firms, media, consultants, outsourcing from different agencies also to promote their product/services,so then only ANALYST come into picture for betterment because they are the specialist in their fields but in my case i had gone through all these sectors/area`s of work with different approach/levels to learn more & more.So might be that somebody get an idea to ask me this question.If we take an example of a house wife & a cook, blogger & a professional writer,engineer & an alert manageable consumer (who can do a little to avoid going to mechanic) a share broker & an investor, here in wife,blogger, alert manageable consumer, an investor are RESEARCHER mod & cook,professional writer,engineer,a share broker were ANALYST mod,researchers know their roll and emend/add new things in their work & could be an ANALYST when needed.
